Penguin?

To continue with the bird theme. If you are hanging around the river Tamar on the 1st of May you may get to see a bunch of penguins. The offspring of my bigger baby sister is starting out on the matrimonial road. Two weddings in one year I hear you shouting, two more and we all know what the film says comes next!

Rocky and Mark are tying the knot.

Now you may remember when I said "DO NOT TOUCH" well this time I said "NO TOP HAT AND TAILS". Not sure if people just can't hear me speak. My darling wife has brought home a slip of paper inside a really nice and flash folder, it was given to her by Mary (bigger baby sister) who was in turn given it by Rocky (offspring of bigger baby sister), and she was given it by the tailor. I have assumed the tailor knows what has been ordered for whom so imagine my surprise when I read the slip of paper.

It had various sizes noted on it, they all seemed a little large and I can't believe they are for my magnificent figure, and then I noticed the word "Hat". I am now a bit suspicious that various members of my loved ones group have been plotting behind my back! I will keep you all updated.

For those of you who have been following the sad saga of Tommy. I am afraid that not a squawk
has been heard from the unfortunate creature. No further demands from the evil ones. The trail appears to have gone cold. Graham and Sandra may have started their married life on a real downer - unless, of course, you know something that may help them? This blog is always willing to be a bridge in the communication game played out in these circumstances.

Tommy - still nothing

This Blog had exclusive access to Mrs Sandra Pearn yesterday. She informed us that nothing had been heard from the people who had made off with Tommy. it is feared that he may even be out of the country.

It is thought that the kidnappers may have bitten off more than they can chew with this feisty little hero. They may have released him and it is feared that, in his confusion and fear, he may have flown off to his homeland. Graham and Sandra Pearn fear the worst.

On the bright side it should be noted that Argyle have got through to the next round of the FA cup, overcoming the might of Barnet 2 goals to nil away from home park.

On a totally different note, the next meeting of the S.B. Investment Club has been announced. It is to take place at the normal location on Friday 9th February at 19.00 hrs. Investors be warned. The Club intends to purchase and this invariably leads to a downturn in the Markets as a whole.

A bit of stop press news. Clare Mann is in Australia with a dodgy eye and an incontinent dog. Is this a good mixture I ask you. Tune in to a future update to see how she coped with the fairly obvious problem this would cause.

The Bowmans, a branch of the family that moved to the land down under many years ago are celebrating the success of one of the Clan. Anne has got through her nursing degree. This isn't breaking news, it's just something I could mention to check and see if our colonial relatives are reading the Blog!

DO NOT TOUCH

I like to watch Stargate Atlantis. It is one of the joys of my life. How come, this week, I missed it?

Well. It is on Sky One, which for me means no subtitles. The hearing thing you see. NHS please take note, it is now two years plus since my doctor wrote to arrange an audiology appointment, I digress.

Back to Stargate. On Wednesday there was football on the telly at the same time as Stargate Atlantis. As there are no subtitles, as I said before, then it is OK for me to put the aforementioned Stargate Atlantis on to a disc to watch later.

I settled down to watch Stargate Atlantis after the football. 20 minutes into the programme I was trying to workout why the team had transported itself to an area that looked very much like Emmerdale. Some of the characters were the same. This confused me as, as far as I am aware, there isn't a Stargate located in the North of England. After five minutes or so grappling with the complexities of inter galactic travel I came to the conclusion that maybe the answer was a little more simple. Someone had switched channels on the DVD! I wonder who that could have been? No admissions.

Now all was not lost. You see, Sky in it's wisdom repeats Stargate Atlantis on a Sunday. This clashes with the time I prepare Sunday Roast for my loving family. Ches and Al join us for our traditional meal. I went to great pains to tell all that I was DVDing Stargate Atlantis as I had missed it earlier in the week. I said to all. "DO NOT TOUCH". I thought that would do it.

The time came for me to switch cable from Sky One to Sky Sports. I turned on the correct channel. To my horror "Ed, Ed and Eddy" appeared. I stopped the DVD and started from the beginning. Fast forward, there was my beloved Stargate Atlantis. Then, 20 minutes or so in, the screen was taken over by the Cable menu, then on came Ed Ed and bloody Eddy.

I blew. All disappeared. All returned as I was still blowing. Alice said it must have been her, so she got a very loud lecture about what bit of "DO NOT TOUCH" she had difficulty with. Val then said that she had checked that all was OK and had seen the menu on the screen and left it. Cheryl said that she had forgotten that she had preset the timer on cable for Ed bloody Ed and the other one!!!

I ask you, is there something about "DO NOT TOUCH" that isn't clear!!!!!!!!!

And Tommy still hasn't returned to roost!!!!!!!

I am happy with my life.

Before I get into today's musings can I just say to those of you who seem to feel that I am in need of a "get rich quick" scheme - no thanks. If you happen to have a Crystal Ball and can give me next weeks lottery winning numbers then I make an exception. Otherwise, just not interested in getting "How to make more money" comments 'cause I ain't gonna visit your site.

For the rest of you, the above refers to e-mails I get saying how wonderful my blog is and would I like to earn lots of cash for doing nothing. If you are that interested have a look at the comments sections below.

Today has been a mixed batch of busy and relax in front of the telly watching the football. Ches and Al around for Sunday Roast, I say it myself but it was really tasty. I do a mean roast potato!!!

Al has now had her mobile for a couple of weeks so I showed her how to download on to my PC, transfer the files to her flash drive and hopefully she is now at home transferring the pictures onto her PC. The wonders of modern technology.
Some of her pictures are reproduced here for your enjoyment.
Val Ches and Paul at the no infamous scene of Tommy's kidnap.
At this stage we were unaware of the drama about to unfold!
Cheryl earlier in the day at the same gathering.

Al and her best friend (well, one of them!) Jazzy. Just after Christmas we took a wonder around the Xmas market in City Centre. We had real German Pommes Frites and the girls had strawberry covered in chocolate. Not all the chocolate went to where it should have gone as can be seen!.
Oh dear Monday tomorrow. Downstairs in half hour or so for a cuppa and a hope that there is a bit of cake left after we all hit it for desert! Except Al who went for ice cream! Will probably watch one of Vals programmes before shower and bed, only fair as I have watched two full matches and the highlights programme today

Weekends here

It's Saturday. Wanted to have a slow day but that's difficult to achieve nowadays. Val and I were to go out to Rocky and Marks to get me measured up for a suite for their impending nuptials. It's a Top Hat and Tails sort of do so I will really feel at home there!! Lucky for me Rocky knows her uncle well and I am exempt the dressing up bit. It appears that rugby shirt and jeans are off the menu, or so I have been strongly told by Val!

I ended up going out by myself as Val's Arthur started playing up. Once that visits rest is the only answer. I ended up doing the Morrisons shop alone as well. I am fairly well behaved nowadays, even took my mobile with me AND left it switched on. Not that it does any good as I can't hear the bloody thing anyway.

Just found out that Argyle have had a super victory today. 3-1 away to the might of East Anglia, you know - that hotspot of football just above London.

I think the plan for tonight is settle in front of the telly. I have avoided the football results all day so am OK for match of the day. Film on cable "Flight plan" that Val wants to watch so come eight we will be in feet up mode. Match of the Day follows. I might be able to jam in a Stargate SG1 episode before all that so it looks like I'm a couch potato this evening, just like the guy above!!

Well that's enough from me for today. Hope you all have a great weekend and remember THE SEARCH FOR TOMMY CONTINUES - IF YOU ARE THE GUILTY PARTY DON'T THINK YOU CAN SLEEP PEACEFULLY TONIGHT!!!!!

IT'S FRIDAY

Well, here we are again. Yet another Friday another exciting week over workwise and we move on to the two days that we spend the other five working for.

All quiet on the Tommy front. We hope that the little lad is keeping his pecker up.

Plymouth Argyle have signed three players on loan deals. Do you ever think that one day we will hit the top league? I always said that I would never go to Wembley until Argyle played there, many thought I was mad. But, yes, we did appear and to add spice to the day we won. So what is wrong with believing that we can enter the top sometime eh? Why not European Champions eh? Why not world Club Champions eh? Why not indeed.

Cheryl has just left to collect Alice from Youth Club. I don't recall being the least bit interested in attending a Youth Club at age 8. Have individuals changed as much as the world in the last fifty odd years? Ah dear. Never mind, pension in five years. Suppose I will miss work (nah!). Won't have much to do to take up my time (nah!).

Oops must head off as there is a programme on about the Beatles. Reckon I can persuade Val to make a cuppa. Feet up, couple of biscuits if there are any left from the Christmas excess.

Yeah. Life is OK in the Western world. Glad I am here now.

See you all soon. Clare and B excepted as they are a bit far away to pop in for a cuppa! Click the link to see where they are.

We see the ransom note

A distraught Mr and Mrs Pearn were fighting back the tears last night when they gave this blog an exclusive view of the ransom note.

The note is shown here in the hope that someone may recognise the hand in the picture. It obviously belongs to a vicious criminal. What sort of individual could possibly hold on to that poor little innocent, squawking for his very existence, in such an uncaring way.

In a further development it was revealed by the Pearn family that the search had spread to Hereford. There has been a suggestion from a resident of that town that Tommy actually flew away. A theory instantly dismissed by Mrs Pearn as laughable. On this blog we do not wish to speculate, but Credenhill on the outskirts of Hereford is the base of Britain's elite Special Air Service troopers. Is an elite squadron of SAS troopers waiting to mount a daring rescue mission? We can only hope.
Are the SAS troopers meeting with Bea to form an assault squad? We wait for further news.

Ransom note received

We are able to reveal that a ransom note has been received for Tommy. There is a specific threat if "cops" are informed the innocent parrot will be harmed. In an exclusive interview for this blog Mr Graham Pearn stated that "no stone will be left unturned and the authorities are hot on the tail if these ruthless villains"

Forensic evidence has been obtained and we can reveal that the note was made up from newspaper cutouts, police have not revealed the paper but we have been informed it is of the tabloid variety. The kidnappers appear to have dragged children into the crime and police have also stated that they are looking for a right handed female, probably a local girl.

A raid was made earlier today on the offices of "Prudential" and boxes were removed from the building. A police spokesman said the the investigation was proceeding as well as could be expected.

A tearful Mr Pearn said that he and is wife were afraid for Tommy as he may not have his favourite cuttlefish available to him. Tommys partner Thomasena was reported as considering to return to Lanzarotte to be with her family over this stressful period. Mr Pearn stated that his wife, Sandra, would find it difficult to cope if Thomasena was also to be lost to her.

In a separate incident in Peterborough, eleven Plymouth men were robbed in clear view of a few thousand individuals and TV cameras. In a totally blatant act of injustice a man in black appeared to beam one of the Plymouth lads off the park. No explanation has been given.

Tommy come home....please

Following on from previous posts about this heart breaking story we have now discovered the anonymous individual who spotted the number one suspect. We ask again, if you know something please help.

Can the perpetrator of this crime possibly read the following statement from the family without some guilt?

"The anonymous sender was me, Bea Tommy's big sister. I just wanted the heartless criminal to know my mum and pops have become gibbering wrecks since Tommy's disappearance, they're not sleeping or eating, too worried about Tommy. So if the person who stole Tommy is reading this I just want you to know you will be caught and when that time comes its PAYBACK!!!!!"

I know most right minded people will forgive the wish to lash out as expressed by this anguished young sibling. Help if you can. It is well known that parrots pine and Tommy has never even been to a fiord.

Kidnap victim - update

The following information has been received.

"We have a few suspects but main one was seen lurking around the cake table about 11ish description about 5'10" tall, glasses, stocky build, slightly balding is believed to be in his early 50s. Anyone seeing this person should not approach him especially if you have a pet."

Does this person ring any bells with you. Were you near the cake table around 11 in the evening on the 30th December 2006? Any little bit of information will help in the now desperate search for this innocent parrot.

Are you the anonymous individual that passed this possibly vital information on? Can you help even more? Full protection will be given. Graham will stay with you 24 hours a day if need be.

To the heartless individual who has committed this crime. Just think of the family. Just married, Graham and Sandra are unable to get a moments rest. Just think on.

Kidnap victim still missing

Police have today released a photograph of Tommy the missing parrot. Tommy was last seen at Brookside Social Club in the Honicknowle area of Plymouth on 30th December.

He was attending a family wedding.

When his Mum and Dad, Sandra and Graham Pearn, went to collect him they were met with an empty cage and, chillingly, a feather. There was a note but the authorities have refused to release it's contents at this stage.

Sandra and Graham have appealed for help in tracking the perpetrators of this despicable crime

Everyone informed

If you are reading this then you have probably reacted to the e-mail I sent out. I cannot believe anyone would find their way here accidentally, as I have tried to get here via the normal google page with very little success.

I have set up a shortcut on my desktop to this page as it makes it a whole lot easier. To do that just right click your mouse and click on "create shortcut", you should then get a shortcut to the blog on your desktop. Sorry if this is teaching suck eggs etc but I take the attitude that you can always learn something new and you never know what you don't know until someone tells you, or I suppose you could read it but that would start me rambling.

The photo is of Father Christmas at the St Georges school Christmas Fair. A good time was had by all and I thought that Santa did a wonderful job!!!
By the way, if you know how to put a visitor counter on a blog let me know eh?

Monday 1 January 2007

Sandra and Graham tied the knot on the 30th December at Plymouth registry office. We all had a super day and the weather angel was working overtime.
The rain came down, very heavily, when we were indoors and stayed away when we were outside. What more could one ask?
We, as a family, have waited for a number of years for Graham to get caught. He says he was waiting for the right woman, who would have thought that he would find her in a lift? Some comment about are you going all the way struck a chord. Personally we are surprised in didn't get something else struck!
A super day and a trouble free reception (what normally happens when friends and family gather in an enclosed space?) just about summed up our Christmas and New Year break. A lovely time was had by all.
