Our little boy went out to play with his mates today. This time when he was playing with Bear Dog he yelped, then limped off!
So down to the vets hospital we went fearing the worst. You will be pleased to know that there appears to be no long term damage. We have the X-rays to prove it!!
He has tweaked something and is limping around. He has to have complete rest for the next few days.
Question. How do you make sure a 8 month old westie has complete rest!!!!!!
Ah well, fun as usual at 122. Thank God for insurance, so far the bill is£229.05, and he has to go to our vets for a follow up check on Tuesday.
For those of you that don't know, Bear Dog is a white German Shepard. One of Disneys best mates, they play most evenings without too much hassle, just hope Dizzy now learns he has too be careful playing with the big boys!! Not that I hold out much hope!!
On a different front congratulations to the NZ All Whites. They have qualified for the World Cup and our very own Green Army Rory Fallon got the goal that put them through. I watched the game up to 15 minutes before the end, I couldn't stick it out so fast forwarded to the end of the match. You would think I was watching England play. Just shows when one of "our guys" is in the team how important it can get!!
I think Rory will be the first current Argyle player to play in a World Cup final stage. Go NZ!!
Talking about down under. Happy Birthday to Anne, sissy-in-law in Aus.
Hi to all in Aus from us over here, Clare, B and the dogs. Tony, Anne, Mum, Cameron and Tracey plus her little family. A young woman with her own family now. Not that long ago she was sliding down our stairs with C and Alice. Doesn't time fly!!!
Well, it is now half past midnight and another full day lies behind. Just watched the new Star Trek movie on DVD. Arrived in the post this morning. Cracking film. Even Val watched it!!
Look after yourselves everyone, and night night.

Ever wondered?

Ever wondered what happens when you let two 11 year olds free to do what they want?
See the pictures above - thinking about it though, it may have had something to do with All Witches Night.
Al and Zoe had a great time wondering around the streets trying to frighten everyone they met. Trick or treat appears to have taken off in our area. I started with a large container full of packets of sweets and ended up with just the one packet. Phew!!
And now to:

Ever wondered what happens when an eight month old Westie runs around with his best mate?
When the best mate is a rather large white German Sheppard then just look at the shots above.
One very tired little dog. Disney and Bear have only seen each other twice in the last few weeks as Bears dad has been a bit poorly (nice to see you up and about Rob, back to work Monday week mate!!). They made up for lost time. I keep meaning to take the video up as it is so funny watching little and very large play together.
Disney nicked Bears ball tonight but handed it back fairly quickly when he was caught!!
Ever wondered where time goes? Like most people today I just keep meaning to do things, like update this blog, and run out of time.
It is now 8.55 and at 9 there is one of the few programmes Val and I watch together - Benidorm. So there we go I have to dive off now!
I haven't forgotten you all and hope to update on the goings on at 122 - collapsing ceiling and all!!!
Val has just shouted to up so I have to go.
Look after yourselves.

Why back the bid?

Back the attempt by England to bring the World Cup to our shores in 2018.

More to the point back Plymouth to be a host city and get us on the map. We have been regarded as a backwater for years.

We have a wonderful location - second to none. Can support a huge number of visitors, and live in a cracking part of the world.

So come on ladies, back the bid and get your chap to visit our wonderful area and watch the footy. You, of course, can visit and sun yourself or wonder our lovely countryside while he is otherwise occupied!! We have a pretty good shopping centre / barbican area as well!!

I am furious

Hi all,

Disney here again. I wasn't going to take over the blog again but they have really gone too far this time.

For the past week I have been looking like a dork with a lampshade on my head. Humans get up to some strange things so I just assumed that they were a bit hissed off with me forgetting to go outside to go to the loo.

The lampshade came off when I went up the park with the guys, when we were talking about the lampshade thing some of the guys started winking and pulling my plonker. When I asked them about the "snip snip" comments some of them started giggling. My Rotty friend couldn't stand for laughing. All I could get from them is "You'll see"

Today my so called human friends took the lampshade off. I haven't been able to get a good scratch going for over a week, so really had a good go.

I also like to give myself a lick. For a six month old I am pretty proud of the tackle if you know what I mean.

I don't know how to put this, I am stunned and shocked. You will just not believe it.

I went down for a lick. Well I just find the whole situation incredible.

Not to put too fine a point on it - they have gone. There last week and now gone.

How can wearing a lampshade for a week do that?? Eh? Hells teeth I am not sure what they were for but I was pretty damn proud of them. A fine set. Now I have a prune hanging there!!

I am beside myself. Friends? Bit of a one way street if you ask me!! And the guys up the park. I am going to have a good sniff around their nether regions next time I am up there. No wonder they were giggling. Yeah good joke guys!!!

Furious, absolutely flaming furious!!

I just can't bring myself to say any more. Unbelievable!!!!

All my love

Hi Leon

Leon banged a comment about the Aviva advert which shows a member of the mighty Green Army on an away trip to Newcastle Utd.

It got me to thinking, has the world had an opportunity to see this picture of your typical West Country football fan? Always willing to help, at no extra cost see the link below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tuVGST_1gE

Never tried to put a link on the blog before. Try anything once - except jumping out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft with a bit of cloth in a bag that you hope will slow you down a bit. Only lunatics do that!!

Anyway, to answer Leon. Nope only got the one comment, unless it was yet another thing chewed up by Disney!

The burning question for Leon this season is are "the Genners" going to hit the top spot or take the European Championship?

You have to laugh, the old boy has kept his sense of humour!! The reality is that when they are drawn against Barcelona that will herald the end of another European campaign and will they even make the top four? Is it the new UEFA cup for them in 2010?

Five year plan puts the Mighty Green Army in the Premiership. New stadium used as a World Cup venue in 2018. Just watch this space!!!

Must be off to wake up now. Bye bye.

Al - First day at new school

I have just found out that Disney has been using this blog to spread unfounded rumours about the way he has been treated. He gets full board and lodging - two square meals a day plus some extras along the way. Full health insurance. TV, heating and two escorted walks a day. All he has to do is be prepared to warn us of any possible intruders.
To be fair, he does the warning bit very well - just ask our neighbours!
I think he just isn't grateful. Well is he in for a surprise, he will moan like hell when he discovers that when he goes a licking - well lets just say he will find out what "snip snip" means!!
Back to the purpose of today's posting. Alice started her new school today, Val couldn't let the moment pass without taking a photo or two. Ches was all emotional this morning waving her little girl off to big school, and Val wasn't far behind!!
The next chapter of her life begins. She enjoyed herself today so let us hope that bodes well for the future.

Plymouth High School for Girls has it's next intake. Five years and we will be worried about GCSE results!!!

You all look after yourselves. And as usual feel free to comment.

You are just not going to believe this!

Look what they have done to me now! Look I am sorry for hijacking this blog, but just look!
It started this morning when Mum, Mummy Cheryl and Mummy Alice took me out for a ride. They kept looking at me and clicking two fingers together and barking "snip snip". I must admit I haven't worked out what that was all about but I digress.
It turned out it wasn't a ride, we went to my hospital. Now it's OK there, the doc is fine and the nurses usually give me a biscuit or two. OK, they prod and poke a bit but that's OK by me for the grub.
Today was different though. My family handed me over and I got put into prison! Yeah, you read right, PRISON!!! There were some other dogs there and, I hate to say this but I am sure I smelt some cats as well.
I chatted to the guys and no one knew what they had done. I reckon I overdid it a bit chewing on the wallpaper last night, but not enough to go down for it! Some of the guys said they didn't feel well so I reckoned it was something to do with the hospital.
Not long after I got there I got to thinking when is feeding time. The old man went out this morning and forgot my breakfast, I put it down to his age. He was a bit cuddly though. Kept smoothing me more than usual.
A bit later one of the nurses came along and took me to see the doc. I got jabbed but that was OK as it wasn't exactly the first time eh? I must have been tired as I just flaked out. Next thing I know I come around back in my cell. Hell, I was really tired. Must have been the walk last night.
The nurse came back and took me out again, I thought I was back to the doc. But it was my Mum. She was all over me, I kept trying to tell her I was shattered.
Then they stuck the lampshade on me. Why I ask you. I can't do a thing. Mum drove me home and I have had nothing but lovin'. I reckon they are sorry for putting me in prison, all a misunderstanding.
But I still have this thing on my head. The old man went out hunting and came back with a chicken. Would you believe he caught it and cooked it whilst out, you have to give credit when it's due!
He gave me a load of chicken, not scraps. Oh no, I got bits off the bird straight into my mouth!!!!
Good really as I can't do a thing with the lampshade on.
Well I have to go now. Still can't work out this "snip snip" thing. Will let you know when I have it figured.
Must go as I am shattered still
All my love
